How do I make a map of the states I've visited?
Pick a color (Lived, Visited, Passed through or Want to go), then tap each state on the map or in the list. Your map updates as you go, and you can download it as a PNG, JPG or PDF.
Is it free?
Yes. The map maker, state guides, road trip planner, national parks tracker and games are all free. No sign-up needed.
Is my map saved?
Your map is saved in your own browser automatically, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
How do I share my travel map?
Tap "Copy share link". Anyone who opens the link sees your map, without changing their own. You can also download an image sized for Instagram posts and stories.
Does the map include Washington, D.C.?
Yes. The map has all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, so the total is 51.
How is "% of the USA" worked out?
We add up the total area of every state you have lived in or visited and divide it by the area of all 50 states and D.C. Big states like Alaska and Texas count for a lot.
